Tasting Note:

Great gewurz might be as rare as the proverbial hen's teeth. If you want to find it in Australia, you'll have to head to Tassie, where the quality is head and shoulders above other pretenders. Goaty Hill have made a name for themselves, as have others, with this variety and do it superbly. Sadly, they only do it in tiny quantities 120 cases of this wine and none in 2011. Wonderful aromatics of Turkish Delight, lavender, spices, florals and gentle lychees. This example offers more length than most and dodges the the failings of an abrupt finish.
